We meet again, dear blog readers!

I recently photographed Colton and Andee at Miesh Studio. This soon-to-be wedded couple will be getting married  in two short weeks. I feel like I’ve already grown to know these two so well. I can’t wait to meet their families and really be part of the celebration.

I love their proposal story. Here’s what happened: Colton told Andee they were picking up some supplies for his dad from a client before they went out to eat for his birthday dinner. They drove partway up a mountain and pulled up to a random house. Andee expected him to go up to the door and pick up the supplies but he came around to the passenger seat and opened the door and said, “Let’s go for a walk.” She looked at him completely flummoxed. She didn’t understand where they could possibly walk to….all Andee could see was snow and it was way past sundown. He grabbed her hand and started playing music in a handheld speaker. Trudging through the snow, she could faintly make out a swing set in the distance with a small lit fire. Before she knew it, TONS of lights came on around the swing set. Everything was glowing! Colton had a blanket laying out with a bouquet of flowers next to a fireplace with another vase of sunflowers. The swing set is situated on a hill and the radiance of the lights trickled down the mountain. They could see Provo’s city lights flickering. He knelt on one knee and proposed. The waterworks came. Andee will always remember how she felt in that moment. What a sweet and meaningful proposal.

I was thrilled that they chose me to be their wedding photographer. When we sat down to chat wedding details, I could tell that it was going to be a night to remember. Two words: Coldstone and dancing. They perfect ingredients for a successful and fabulous wedding.

Andee and Colton have such great style, I know it’s going to be a gorgeous wedding!

Future wedding details aside, let’s get to the present: Andee and Colton’s engagement session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot one to remember. I love that they picked outfits that they knew would look great with the location she chose. That pop of yellow in her shoes.. are you kidding me? Gorgeous!

Just wait until you see their bridals!!!!

If these images give you the feeling you want for your session, Andee has some advice: “Don’t feel tense. Just be who you usually are with your sweetheart! Make each other laugh!”.  I couldn’t have said it better myself, Andee. If these images gave you the feels and you want a Utah engagement photographer to capture your unique love story, we just might be a great fit. Let’s make something magical happen.
